Let
me tell you a little bit about myself:
I was certified as a Hypnobirthing
instructor in January 2002 through the Hypnobirthing Institute after years
of researching Hypnobirthing with the desire to one day teach it. Obviously
I liked what the research showed and have accomplished that goal for myself
so that I can help birthing mothers achieve their goals of having a calm and
peaceful birth.
On a personal note:
My son Tyler was born in 1992 by C-section prior to my knowledge of Hypnobirthing.
He is now 14 years old and still the only child.
My educational achievements include an associates degree in Nursing in 1996, Bachelor's degree in 2000, and a masters degree as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in May of 2002. I became certified as a Hypnobirthing instructor during my graduate program in Nursing. I have 4 years labor and delivery experience at Children's Hospital of Buffalo and currently working as a Nurse Practitioner at the Women's Clinic at Children's Hospital
With much experience in the field of research, future plans will include
further research on Hypnobirthing outcomes and Hypnobirthing mother's experiences
with the method. Most of the general public is perfectly happy with the pages
of positive testimonials available on the
Hypnobirthing website,
but the medical community depends on scientific outcomes and I would like
to be the one to supply them. Satisfying the medical community is important
because they are the main catalysts in which Hypno-
birthing can be brought to the attention of many moms who otherwise would
not know that such a program is available to them.
